Long, this one, but well worth the time spent and attention given; not only for what it says about [insert favorite organized object of scorn here], but what it says in parallel about humanity on the whole, culture in particular, and the manner in which our fear of being wrong, being challenged, or taking the chance of making “good mistakes” keeps us repeating ancient patterns with little progress whatever.
