Another new year

So here we are, another new year. Interestingly, I find that I’m no longer keeping track of every event that occurs all year long the way that I used to. It’s actually a relief. As a matter of fact, if I had to say what the biggest five events of this year passed (2013) were, I think the best I could come up with would be:

– my daughter moved to Seattle

– my daughter got married

– I consolidated my debt

– I officially entered menopause (cringe)

– I recovered my old desk (Milo Baughman)

A relatively quiet year.

Well, if you don’t count the mess of changes and annoyances that come with menopause. (grin)

As odd as this may sound, I am still having quite a bit of difficulty in accepting that, come this August, I will be 49. Actually, I find it harder to think of myself being “that close to 50”.

I mean, 50 is OLD.
