My favorite analogy – Can you satisfy the cat?

I’ve been meaning to post on this pretty much since this came out in 2009; better late than never, eh?

I’ll preface this by saying that the focus of this piece is user experience and design as related to creating compelling web sites (be they for commerce or otherwise).

That said, this analogy works equally well for pretty much any damn thing in life; primarily because it stipulates a pattern that satisfying ANYONE but yourself requires that you be thinking of ANYONE BUT YOURSELF when trying to do it.
